Harris & Harris Consulting Ltd. founded in 1999 is a Calgary based company that provides comprehensive landscape design, construction drawings, and construction administration services to clients within Southern Alberta and across Canada. Our project portfolio ranges from public parks and master planning to residential developments and streetscapes to private residential gardens.

Harris & Harris takes a client-centered approach, which means that we listen to our clients, respond to their needs and anticipate their requirements. The result is sensitive, world class, inspiring designs that are completed on time and on budget.

Harris & Harris collaborates with other quality minded professionals on public projects including local and regional parks, transportation, street design, environmental restoration, and storm pond design. Our office has experience working with all levels of government. Our clients include large development companies, city departments, federal agencies, and foundations. We create sophisticated graphics for public display and communication, detailed construction drawings for bidding and construction, as well as reports and assessments.

Harris & Harris is owned by George Harris. The company carries 2 million dollars in Errors and Omissions insurance and liability insurance.

Principal/Landscape Architect

George has extensive experience in the development and preparation of conceptual design and construction documents for public work. His personal strengths of listening, negotiating and communicating prove invaluable during all phases of a project. George takes pride in his ability to find creative solutions to construction problems. George has experience and expertise ideally suited for this project. Over the past 14 years as a professional landscape architect he has been preparing designs, construction drawings and overseeing construction of landscape projects. During this time he has worked on many projects that involve all of the elements proposed in the RFP for the River Passage Park project. He has worked on many projects that involve building parks, plazas, pathways, natural landscape rehabilitation, and site lighting. He also has experience designing accessible spaces.

George’s experience with urban design and public park projects includes: Bowmont Natural Environment Park, Rouleauville Square, Beaulieau Gardens, Nose Creek Park, Murdoch Park and Quarry Lake Park to name a few. He has been involved in the building of many pathway projects in the City of Calgary.
