Heritage Heights School, Rocky View School Division, 2001-2006: With Marshall Tittemore Architects, Harris and Harris worked on the design and construction drawings for this school south of Calgary. Detailed design addressed slope constraints, parking lots, bus circulation, play fields, and a teaching amphitheater. The project was completed in the fall of 2006.
Hidden Valley K-4 School, Calgary Board of Education, 2002: Working as a sub-consultant to BCMP Architects, Harris and Harris reviewed site grading, parking design, and the layout of all hard surface areas onsite. This project was developed in conjunction with the adjacent Hidden Creek 5-9 School in order to co-ordinate site planning and reduce construction costs.
Hidden Creek 5-9 School, Calgary Board of Education, 2002: Working as a sub-consultant to S2 Architects, Harris and Harris prepared grading plans, planting plans, a play field layout, and a pedestrian circulation network.
Blackfalds 5-9 School, Wolf Creek School Division, 2002: Harris & Harris worked with Riddell Kurczaba Architects on the design and preparation of construction drawings for this school in the Wolf Creek School Division. Working with a limited budget, the project involved creative programming and sensitive site design of the parking lots and play fields on a steeply sloped site.
Enchant School, Horizon School Division, 2001: Working as a sub-consultant to J.A. Matthew Architect Ltd. during a school renovation project, the landscape portion of this development involved the reclamation of an existing school yard. Particular challenges of the project included site grading to alleviate drainage problems, parking layout, play field layout, and the design of a safe drop-off zone.
St. William School & Ecole Sam Livingston School, School Committee, 2001: Working with parents-teacher associations, Harris & Harris provided guidance on site design, reclamation techniques, and project management. |
