Highlights:

Harris & Harris were selected from a large number of consultants to be the Prime Consultants on the River Passage Park project. Working as technical support for artist Lorna Jordan of Lorna Jordan Studios of Seattle, Washington, the team consists of ecologists, structural, electrical and geotechnical engineers, a consulting arborist and horticulturalist.

The River Passage Park project is the second phase of the Calgary Bow River Weir Project now called Harvie Passage. The project involves the work outside of the water including restoration of the riparian habitat, pathway reconstruction and implementation of the artists work. The budget for construction is 1.6 million dollars.

“A stunning new park will be part of the Harvie Passage weir reconstruction, and Parks Foundation Calgary has assembled a talented design team to create a vibrant and interactive green space in the heart of Calgary. In addition to providing another landmark public space for the city, River Passage Park will enhance connectivity along the Bow River for Calgary cyclists and pedestrians. Calgary landscape architecture firm Harris and Harris Consulting Ltd. will be working with Seattle-based environmental artist Lorna Jordan to create an iconic riverside park.”
