Working alongside Dillon Consulting, Harris & Harris were hired to plan and design a parking lot for the Shawnessy LRT Station in South Calgary. The program required 200 stalls on a very small and irregularly shaped site. Shelters, benches, pedestrian walkways, bicycle storage units as well as the staging area for buses were required. Lighting to meet safety standards was coordinated by Harris & Harris. The project was reviewed by numerous governing bodies including the Calgary Police's Crime Prevention through Environmental Design(CPTED). The site has been operating very successfully.
